We Video is a tool I have used before but would like to revisit and up skill to create some usable teaching tools.
Manaiakalani film festival sounds cool and we could be interested.

Slides to be consistant through out making sure text size and fonts are the same. We had great fun designing our slide to make an animation. Im sure the students will love working with this.

    Love this animation- haha! Brings back memories in May of heading to the duck pond.
    Kids love doing this and can concentrate with complete focus for hours to get their slide sequence right. I look forward to seeing what your young people achieve with this.

    Wow my sons would definitely love your animation! It's really effective, creating it with the silhouette, like that. I agree with Dorothy in that kids will focus for hours on animations. It's an excellent way to encourage them to share learning without them needing to use their voice or stand up in front of the classroom. What contexts do you have at school at the moment that animations could be useful in? It's great to read how you connected with the concept of creation being useful with learners. What have you used in your programme in the past week?

    It seems you have your embed code in twice? Once in the HTML section and once in the compose? If you go back to edit it, you should be able to remove the extra one by just deleting in when you're in the compose section. Let me know if you want support to do that.

Each day with the course I become more confident in talking and presenting amongst my group. It’s good to put myself in the student’s shoes and is a good reminder when I am designing pieces of work to remember to slow things down to accommodate for students that could be lacking in confidence or even just need more time to process things. Like myself! Teaching my students to blog and record their processes is a good way of recording evidence and communicating with stakeholders etc. Using feedback to inform their decisions.

Day 1 DFI

Day one of the DFI was a great experience. Even though I felt a litle left behind I managed to complete most of the tasks and be on time to all the group meetings. I enjoyed learning to use Google docs to a greater level than just writing a letter/ message. The use of the explore and how to use titles will be of use and look forward in teaching my students these skills.  The use of the referencing tool will be useful for my senior students who are heading off to university at the end of the year. This is my first blog ever and looking forward to the next 8 weeks of this coarse learning some new skills to pass onto my students.
