    Kia ora Mike,
    It looks as though you've had fun playing with Screencastify. I'm interested in hearing more about how you think this could be implemented in your classroom and if you can see a way some of these Cybersmart aspects could be incorporated as well. Often, we think Cybersmart content needs to be boxed up and taught all on its own, when in fact it's often more relevant integrated. Sharing comments in smart ways online is a great example of a reminder we could give our learners in a number of different contexts, that would help them to see it as an embedded, universal practice, rather than just in a digital technology class etc. What are your thoughts?

Link to my Site The use of Google sites has been a great tool for presenting not only work for the students, but a good preview for parents when helping with subject selection for the following year. When I first started using Sites I felt a little over welmed but within a couple of hours with the help of a Manakalani crew I now feel confident in using this application.  A good lesson I have learned. It is helpful if each area of a department works on their own site, this will prevent the lost material and un doing of each others work. I am really glad we did the show and tell on sites today. It was great having a look around other sites to get a gage on how our sites are progressing . There are plenty of great sites out there and find the simplier the site the better. I think it is very important that the pages aren't to busy.

Day 2 DFI MY

Each day with the course I become more confident in talking and presenting amongst my group. It’s good to put myself in the student’s shoes and is a good reminder when I am designing pieces of work to remember to slow things down to accommodate for students that could be lacking in confidence or even just need more time to process things. Like myself! Teaching my students to blog and record their processes is a good way of recording evidence and communicating with stakeholders etc. Using feedback to inform their decisions.
